Vote to Distribute a $20,000 Grant for Our Parks!

The City of Hartford has received a $20,000 grant from the National Recreation and Park Association, The Walt Disney Company, and ESPN through the “Meet Me At the Park” program. The fun part about this grant is that YOU can vote to distribute it among one of three programs:

(1) Learn to swim and how to fish
(2) Basketball programming
(3) A farmer’s market

From now until April 30th, vote online or via text. The project with the most votes in each city at the end of the month will receive grant funding!

Hartford has had great success with this program. In 2016, the grant went to Hartford Youth Rowing on the Connecticut River, and in 2015, Keney Park basketball courts were refurbished as a result of the grant.
