June Environment Events in Hartford

We are going to try to send out upcoming events through our listserve on a monthly basis. Please send information about environment-themed events no more than five days before the end of the month before the event will take place. For now, check out this handful of upcoming events/opportunities!:  
June 7:  Presentation to City Council Department of Public Works about the Climate Stewardship Initiative at 5:30 in City Hall Chambers – all welcome!
June 10:  Beautifying Hartford – One Beverage at a Time:  CBIA teams up with Hanging Hills Brewery between 9am-12pm, to do clean-up of the area.  Beers and networking to follow clean-up.
June 16:  CBIA Energy & Environment Conference will take place at Farmington’s Marriott.  Register today!

Ongoing:
* Community Solutions will be offering tours of the Swift Factory on the last Thursday of every month.
Tours of Coltsville National Historic Park will start Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am and 2 pm through September 25.
* Hartford’s Solarize campaign – giving bulk discounts to residents to go solar – ends September 14.  Sign up today!  (Also ongoing is the Solar for All program, a no-credit check monthly program for residents to go solar!)
