From April 2016 through September 2017, the Climate Stewardship Council met every month or so to exchange information and ideas in furtherance of its mission to create a more sustainable and resilient community through public engagement and the convening of key stakeholders (meeting minutes from April 2016 through September 2017). Meetings were held at UConn Law School, which assisted the Climate Stewardship Initiative through the UConn Service Learning Program, the Center for Energy & Environmental Law, and the Thomas F. Gallivan, Jr., Memorial Fund.

With the Council’s official approval of Hartford’s First Climate Action Plan in 2018, Hartford’s Office of Sustainability has taken the lead in coordinating and managing future community sustainability meetings.
